Emily C
We had Emily in yesterday, and it may have been our best senior class portrait session yet, it was most certainly our most unusual. We did have to get the typical beauty image for the yearbook. That was so easy with a subject as lovely as she…
Emily is a devotee of “death note” manga, so she asked me to work some of her portraits into that style of image…

It was so cool working with her, as she was totally prepared. She brought changes of clothes, props, makeup, her Mom, and IDEAS! Everywhere we went, she had her own pose ideas, and she came up with quite a few new places to “shoot” her, such as the cemetery…

And then she showed her intellectual side, as “Marian the Librarian…”

In all, we worked for over three hours with Emily, and would happily have continued, had we not had previous engagements for the evening. And, we had to finish with a few in town images at the train depot and in the “ghetto.” Okay, Saint Johns doesn’t have a ghetto, but it looked like one…

This senior class portrait session went so well due to the very high level of preparation on Emily’s part. She really brought her “A” game, and also brought a wonderfully “can do” attitude, which was equally important. Her ideas spawned ideas of my own, which spawned ideas from my assistants, and we heterodyned until everyone was spitting ideas as fast as I could shoot. Sometimes faster.
A “Scooby-Do” inspired image:

Another “manga” image:

And one somewhat reminiscent of “The Shining:”

Same image, but a little “darker”…

Another cemetery image, but showing more of a “beauty” style…
“Who buried Roger Rabbit?”…

The second to last one is my favorite out of these. That and the ones at the cemetery. The first one is pretty cool, too. I have alot of ideas for some more editing, I’ll write them down and leave another comment when I can.
Very cool. I’m looking forward to hearing your ideas.
I Love the originality, My daughter is very imaginative.
Fritz, did a great job. Honey, I love them and thank you for the one I requested…But DANG your ideas really tell who you are.
This child has Great potential in all she see’s
i love the bloody heart!
Thanks, Emily, I’m really glad you like it.
I think the blood is way too much. Maybe not so much blood?
That’s certainly do-able. Any changes needed are no problem, just add that to the “notes” section when ordering.
